COMEDIAN Carl Joshua Ncube has come up with a campaign for a comedy roast of larger than life businessman Wicknell Chivayo. This comes after Chivayo said his reasoning could be compared to actors like Mukadota, Mutirowafanza or Paraffin instead of Trevor Noah or Mr Bean. Ncube had earlier on criticised the million dollar landmark deal Chivayo signed with Zifa boss Philip Chiyangwa calling it a sham as it was penned on a piece of paper. A comedy roast is an event in which a specific individual, a guest of honour, is subjected to good-natured jokes at their expense intended to amuse the event’s wider audience.

Instead of ranting about the scathing attack, Ncube said he had identified an opportunity to raise funds to build a comedy dome in the resort town of Victoria Falls.

On Monday Ncube started a campaign to that effect with the caption “HOW MANY LIKES and HOW MANY SHARES to get SIR WICKNELL CHIVAYO to agree to do a ROAST?????. So far the post has over 350 likes.

Ncube has also called on fans to suggest names of comedians who will be on the panel for the comedy roast.

Fans have thrown names such as Cde Fatso, Sabhuku vharazipi , Nomathemba Ndebele . Michael K, Clive Chigubhu, DJ Nikki from Star FM, The Comic Pastor and Q the boss.

Chivayo had posted on his Facebook wall an attack on the comedian most of which centred around the fact that he had loads of money and some reference to the fact that Wicknell could pay his fans $100 each when they come to his shows.

Sarcastically Ncube said, before sharing the long post from Chivayo: “How come no one ever told me that Sir Wicknell had such awesome things to say about Carl Joshua Ncube?”
