Zimbabwe holds elections to allow people to choose representatives of their choice, Zanu-PF national chairman Cde Simon Khaya Moyo has said.
Speaking to the Republic of Korea delegation that paid a courtesy call on him yesterday, Cde Khaya Moyo called for speedy completion of the constitution-making process for Zimbabwe to hold its polls.
The delegation was led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Zimbabwe Lew Kwang-Chul.

“We are now heading for elections and we hope the constitution will be concluded early to allow people to decide who they want to rule them. Sadc and the AU understand that clearly.
“We want peaceful elections, no violence in any way and we want all parties to conduct themselves well so that we can have clean and credible elections,” he said.
Cde Khaya Moyo said the illegal sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe had caused untold suffering to all Zimbabweans contrary to the belief that they were targeted.

He hailed social, economic and cultural ties that exist between Zimbabwe and the Republic of Korea.
“Republic of Korea is very industrialised and they are moving very fast. We are happy with our relations.

“Korean aid has been excellent in the area of health and agriculture. We are grateful for the assistance we have received,” he said.
Ambassador Chul said his country was excited about the relations adding that there was room for consolidating the relations.
“We want to see relations grow, both public and private, in social and human alliances. We want to develop ties in cultural exchange visits. There is a Korean company coming to Zimbabwe to introduce solar panel system in hospitals and this will start in Harare and Bulawayo,” he said.

Ambassador Chul said would urge Korean companies to visit Zimbabwe and other Southern Africa countries and establish businesses. He also called for the lifting of the illegal sanctions on Zimbabwe.
