Eiffel Flats were the first to score through Simbarashe Simoko in the 52nd minute after he connected a cross from Blessing Mukambi.
La Liga equalised through a Honey Chimutimunzeve penalty in the 79th minute after Eiffel Flats defender Edward Yongwe handled in the box.
The match was an evenly balanced affair and both teams had an opportunity to walk away with the three points had they utilised the chances that came their way.
La Liga had a goal disallowed in the 72nd minute when Charles Makoto was adjudged to have scored from an off-side position.
Eiffel Flats coach Raphael Phiri was happy with a point and rued a late penalty that was awarded to La Liga.
“A point is okay for us since we were playing away from home although we almost got the three points.
“That penalty let us down otherwise they could not have scored a goal but anywhere that is all part of the game.
“We are not talking about the Premiership we just want to make sure we avoid relegation if that happens to us it’s a bonus,” said Phiri.
La Liga assistant coach Tichaona Mushangazhike blamed his team’s complacency for the draw.
“I think we relaxed and failed to bury the chances that came our way.
“We played well but the chances that we missed in the first half would have made the difference. I am happy with the point because Eiffel is a good side and there are quite a number of good players in their team and a good coach as well.
“We need to pull up our socks in the second half of the season and make sure we pick up as many points as we can,” said Mushangazhike.
La Liga remain on top with 29 points from 13 matches and still unbeaten in the league.
Second placed Mwana Africa were held to a 1-1 draw by Dstv at Old Hararians.
