their first victory over rivals Shabanie Mine in a derby at Maglas on Wednesday.
Since 2008, FC Platinum had tried to beat their neighbours but failed.

Mabhena, who was ushered on the hot seat following the death of coach Benjamin Moyo, is hoping to steer the team to greater heights.
The inclusion of Donald Ngoma and Raymond Sibanda, two players who were instrumental in the promotion of the team, won him the hearts of the fans.

Ngoma had not started a match this season and on Wednesday he gave the Shabanie defenders a torrid time each time he was in possession.
Mabhena, a holder of CAF C licence, joined FC Platinum from Botswana.

The two victories he has posted brought him into the limelight and his next assignment is against Blue Ribbon at Maglas today.
He will then face Gunners at the same venue on Wednesday.

But Mabhena will probably face his litmus when he travels to the capital for a clash against CAPS United next week.
It still remains to be seen if the 39-year-old Mabhena will still be the man in charge, at the end, of the club will recruit another seasoned gaffer.
A number of names, notably Rahman Gumbo, Sunday Chidzambwa and Charles Mhlauri, have been linked to the job.
