RUGBY enthusiasts are in for a treat when Christian Brothers College (CBC) battles it out with rivals Milton High School in their traditional annual rugby match set for Hartsfield Sports Field on Saturday. The traditional showdown has been on the calendar for more than 40 years with CBC dominating in the last 10 years.

The teacher-in-charge of Milton rugby side, Lovemore Mangwiro said his boys have been training hard for the derby encounter adding that this year they have a very strong team which had the potential of ending CBC’s dominance.

Mangwiro praised his backline which is very mobile with first centre Terrance Ncube and captain Willard Gwekwerere expected to be in top form.

However, Godswill Nare the CBC team manager said they want to maintain their traditional forwards strategy that has always worked against their weekend opponents in the past.

Nare said their captain Justin Mendelsohn’s return from the Coca Cola Craven Week that was held in South Africa was a great boost to the team’s morale.

In other games Falcon College A team will play host to Peter House A team in celebrating the Falcon Old Boys’ 60th anniversary while Petra is expected to clash with Hillcrest at their home ground in a morning kick-off.
