SHABANIE Mine have buckled under pressure over the Zifa club licensing requirements and have now appointed Wilson Mutekede as head coach.

Former Mutare City gaffer who had earlier been appointed head coach, Taku Shariwa, is now the club’s technical manager. Shariwa will now be overseeing the performance of the club’s technical department.

The Chinda Boys had been adamant that Shariwa will remain their head coach despite the fact that he doesn’t have the mandatory Caf A licence for a head coach to bark instructions from the bench.

Shabanie Mine chairman Elias Marufu confirmed the changes and said Mutekede will be in charge of the team when the Chinda Boys host champions Caps United at Maglas Stadium tomorrow.

“We have appointed Wilson Mutekede in compliance with the Zifa directive but we have now elevated Taku Shariwa to the post of technical manager,” said Marufu.
