have been haunting the body since last year.
ZHF has been in shambles since last August when part of the executive held elections in Gweru, which ushered in Amon Madzvamuse as the president
However, the then outgoing president, Agrippa Sora lodged a complaint with the Sports Commission questioning the manner in which the elections were held.
The Sports Commission investigated the issue through their sport development department and concluded that the constitution used to hold the elections was not legitimate and there were no provincial structures.
They then reinstated Sora as the president and Madzvamuse was appointed chief executive.
The handball mother body was directed to amend their constitution and register it with the Sports Commission.
They were also ordered to submit their financial report and hold elections early this year but they failed, the deadline has been extended to September.
Sports Commission sport development manager, Angela Nyaundi, said they are going to meet Sora and Madzvamuse to discuss the differences between the two.
“We are having a meeting on Monday.
“We want to know why they cannot work together. We want to know what is their problem.
“Part of the executive came to complain that the president was not co-operating.
“They agreed that they will sign all the documents to be submitted but they said the president is refusing to sign the documents but were unable to tell us why.
“We gave them a critical pass and they were simply supposed to indicate in that critical pass their programmes because that is the only way we can help them,” said Nyaundi.
Nyaundi said in the event that the two fail to comply with the requirements from the Sports Commission they risk being banned to stand for any election.
“The statutes give us the powers to ban them from standing for elections if they do not comply to what we want. But we have not reached that stage yet.
“We gave them a warning so we still want to talk to them,” said Nyaundi.
ZHF, chief executive, Madzvamuse denied reports that there were squabbles within the association.
“Generally it’s about an update on the progress we have done so far and the challenges we are facing.
“People are saying all is not well in handball, but we do not have any problems,” said Madzvamuse.
