ZIFA Bulawayo Province Division Two league leaders Toronto FC will be out to stretch their lead when they face Lobengula Stars at the Pumula East Garage grounds tomorrow.

Toronto go into the encounter with second-placed CIWU breathing heavily down their neck after dismissing LSU 4-1 on Wednesday to go level on 56 points with the leaders.

Toronto are at the top courtesy of a superior goal difference with five matches left.

Ajax Hotspurs are third on the table four points adrift of the top two sides and remain in contention for promotion to the First Division should they maintain their good run and the leaders falter.

Lobengula Stars are unpredictable and last won a league game on the weekend of September 25 when they beat Saints Academy 2-1. They have lost their previous two encounters, 1-2 to Chicken Inn and last weekend’s 0-1, to relegation threatened CS Distributors.

Toronto have lost only one game and go into tomorrow’s against the backdrop of a morale boosting 1-0 away victory over stubborn White Birds.

Toronto coach, Ghetto Nkala, is confident his charges will not crumble under pressure in the remaining games.

“We are ready for the game on Saturday. At this stage, it is important for us to maintain focus on our games rather than how our rivals are doing. We go into the game against Stars aiming for three points,” said Nkala.

Toronto will look to the lethal strike force of Phindani Ngwenya and Mgcinumuzi Moyo, who have scored an impressive 27 goals between them this season.

In other games, CIWU host Zenzele Tigers and Ajax Hotspurs have a tricky away fixture against impressive league debutants Arenel.
