A mouth-watering encounter is in the offing this afternoon when Zifa Bulawayo province Division 2 title chasing side Toronto visit Sotshangane grounds for a date with unpredictable Sabona Mzilikazi in a potential title decider.

Toronto are on the brink of being crowned champions with two games to spare. Maximum points in today’s encounter could seal their promotion if results from other centers go their way.

The Pumula East based outfit tops the league with 63 points from 28 games, five points adrift of CIWU in second position. The chasing pack is breathing down the leaders neck with second placed CIWU having accumulated 59 points from 27 games while Ajax are third with 58 points from the same number of games.

Sabona Mzilikazi are floating mid-table and their unpredictable nature makes the encounter even more difficult for the tittle aspirants. The Mzilikazi side are on ninth position with 36 points from 28 games and will be hoping to cause a major upset when they face the leaders.

Toronto gaffer Ghetto Nkala stressed on the need to maintain a cautious approach going into the crucial game.

“We are not worried about how other teams are playing we are just focused on getting maximum points in our remaining games. The boys have played well this season, it will be important that we do not lose focus at the last hurdle. A win against Sabona Mzilikazi places us at a very good position so our aim basically is to win the game,” said Nkala.

Toronto will pin their hopes for victory on the likes of Nkosilathi Dube, Keith Chikuni and Brian Kamusoko who have been impressive this season.

In other matches, CIWU who are also in the title race face Saints Academy in what is expected to be an explosive encounter at Eveline High School grounds
Ajax Hotspurs play host to bottom placed Lupane State University (LSU) at Bango in what is expected to be an easy victory for the Mpopoma side. With nothing but pride to play for, LSU might cause the title chasing side a couple of problems playing under no pressure.

Meanwhile, Zifa Bulawayo province will on Tuesday make a judgment on the abandoned game between CIWU and Ajax on Tuesday. With both sides chasing promotion the ruling will be crucial to the promotion matrix.
