HIGHLANDERS FC’s speedy winger Rahman “Rakocha” Kutsanzira justified being given a starting berth by scoring his maiden goal in Bosso colours in the seventh minute as the team thumped Caps United in a match at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo yesterday. Kutsanzira nodded home his first headed goal in his career after connecting a ball created by headers from Ozias Zibande and Charles Sibanda after a creative build-up by Bosso.

The prodigal son retraced his footsteps to former club Highlanders after spending two seasons with the Green Machine but the dribbling forward had no mercy for his former paymasters.

He could not help it as the celebratory dance at the Soweto end said it all for Kutsanzira who was over the moon after scoring the opening goal.

“I’m very happy, such is football. It’s unfortunate that I scored against Caps but I couldn’t help it but celebrate, it was a special moment for me after scoring with a header for the first time.

“We did well as a team and everyone was committed, we managed to come to the party after disappointing draws in the last two games.”
The forward said the best is yet to come from him and his teammates.

“We dedicate the win to God, we promise the fans that the best is yet to come and I am improving with each game, so definitely I will deliver more as we progress,” said Kutsanzira.

The dribbling wizard dislocated his shoulder during the pre-season and the injury kept him out of action in all pre-season matches and the opening games.

Cleopas “Balotelli” Dube also returned to action with a goal. The big forward just needed two touches before scoring a goal just a minute after his introduction.

“It feels good to be back in the team and to score, I am really happy and thank God for the opportunity, we just have to continue with this team spirit,” said Dube.

The toast of the day was Welcome Ndiweni as the midfielder made the Bosso stars tick much to the delight of thousands of fans that flocked to watch Bosso putting on a vintage performance.
