FOLLOWING the Bulawayo Basketball Association (BBA) Annual General Meeting held at the weekend, it was resolved that the new league season will commence on October 7.

The pre-season tournament, which serves as the league opener, will be played on September 23.

BBA secretary general Francis Dube said the association had managed to add to the number of teams that will be part of the league this season.

“The AGM went on very well, we have a huge influx of teams that have joined our leagues. The men’s league will have three leagues A, B and C. The Ladies will have two leagues, A and B. We are happy that our game is growing and we are privileged to have NASH and NAPH working with us as these are a feeder into our league system and even the national teams,” said Dube.
