Acting Minister of Environment, Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Mangaliso Ndlovu, is on record saying 22 countries have confirmed their participation.

This year’s Conference will run under the theme “Changing Africa’s Future by accelerating Investment Capacity in Youth for Sustainable Tourism Development”.

The main aim of the conference will be to unpack opportunities in the tourism sector for youth development in fulfilling the Africa’s Agenda 2063. Participants will share lessons and exchange ideas on how youths can invest in the tourism sector in Africa.

The youth has been encouraged to use tourism as a vehicle for entrepreneurship and employment creation to help in livelihoods promotion and poverty alleviation in Africa.

As such the conference seeks to foster the industry’s commitment to supporting youths in tourism and availing opportunities for youth’s empowerment in the tourism value chain.
