BULAWAYO gospel music lovers will be treated to a mega gospel music fest on Saturday when South Africa’s Joyous Celebration members and Siphumelele Mbambo perform at the Large City Hall.
Idols East Africa winner, Eric Moyo and finalist Mkhululi Bhebhe will share the stage with the South African acts.

Bulawayo’s budding gospel choir – Vocal Extraordinaire will also belt out heat radiating gospel tunes at the event dubbed “Sithi Uyingcwele Music Concert”.

The concert will be unique as there will be a live recording to produce DVDs.

Moyo said he was looking forward to sharing the stage with Bhebhe as they share the same musical and Christian beliefs.

“I have shared the stage with him on numerous occasions and we have had good shows,” said Moyo.

He called on gospel music lovers to come in their numbers to the show which he said had attracted seasoned singers from Zimbabwe and South Africa.

Organiser of the show – Vocal Ex co-founder, Thembelani Mdlaziba said gospel lovers should brace for a lively show.

“The show on Saturday will mark our first anniversary as a choir. We promise a well polished performance and people will surely enjoy.

“Vocal Ex recently held a joint Gospel extravaganza with Harare gospel music ensemble, Zim Praise of the Sungano fame and left most Bulawayo revellers Christ filled so people should expect nothing less from this weekend’s show,” he said.
