IN preparation for the biggest braai day, Delta Beverages, through its Castle Lager brand, will this afternoon host a pre-party in Bulawayo.

The party has been slated for the Delta Beverages Belmont depot with invited guests expected to converge for a braai.

Delta Beverages marketing manager — Patricia Murambinda — said preparations for the braai party dubbed, “Ultimate Braai Party”, were going on well. The party takes place next Saturday in Harare.

“We decided to host a pre-party in Bulawayo in preparation for the big day where 10 000kg of meat is expected to be eaten for charity,” said Murambinda.

Entertainment at the Bulawayo pre-party will be provided by Iyasa and the Outfit Band.

Murambinda said they were finalising venues outside Harare where people will converge to braai and contribute to the 10 000kg of meat which are going to be doubled up and donated to Mpilo General Hospital and Harare Hospital.

“For every kilogramme of meat consumed, Castle Lager will donate an equivalent amount that’ll be shared equally between the two hospitals,” said Murambinda.

“We’re encouraging everyone to participate in this worthy cause, remembering that for every glass of Castle Lager raised, the cheer goes way beyond the beer to help our brothers and sisters who’re hospitalised.”

Meanwhile, preparations for the Castle Lite Block party taking place in Bulawayo next Saturday are at an advanced stage with artistes raring to perform. Comedian Babongile Sikhonjwa, Cal_Vin and top DJs, Liz, Mzoe, Kead Wikead, Crazy Black and Pam are among those who will provide entertainment.
