ZIMBABWE’S conducive environment for business has seen West Property expand its portfolio in the real estate industry through providing both commercial and housing stands mainly in Harare.

The company formed by real estate magnet Ken Sharpe together with his silent Ukrainian partner founded the company in 2007.

The company has grown to become one of the leading real estate institutions in the country and is in public private partnership with the City of Harare in the provision of accommodation.

The company provides serviced stands in areas such as Waterfalls among other areas.

They started investing and buying property in Zimbabwe in the process they acquired and started several companies including partnering with the City of Harare in a PPP.

West Property chairman Mr Ken Sharpe said he wants to leave a legacy of providing shelter to home seekers.

“We have over the years managed to secure land boosting or land bank which has grown significantly, it will outlive me and last generations,” he said.

He said the company has come up with model for the expansion of Kuwadzana Extension 4.

“Mainway Meadows project, an infrastructural development of 168HA in Waterfalls where West Property town planned, subdivided, marketed and sold well over 2,300 serviced, surveyed and titled residential stands, which now accommodate substantial middle-income homes,” said Mr Ken.

He said the investment opportunities in the property sector look bright considering other projects underway such as the Mall of Zimbabwe among other residential developments.
