AFTER clinching the Zim Hip Hop Awards Best Group/Duo award last year, rappers Crisswiss and The Dot who are nominated again in the same category for this year’s edition are confident that they will retain the award.

For the past two years, the duo has been running the local hip-hop scene through their collaborations. Their hard work has resulted in them winning awards as they were also named the Best Group/Duo at the Zimbabwe Music Awards (Zima).

Commenting on their latest nomination at the Zim Hip Hop Awards, the duo said they are honoured as it shows that their work continues to make a mark and is outstanding. They will be battling it out with Killemol; Crooger and Kikky Badass; Tr3y Xl; Mcknife and The Mystry Boys Dze Smoko and Cottage 47.

“We’re honoured to be nominated for two years in a row. Since we won the award last year, this will be an awesome opportunity to retain it. We’re confident that we’ll win this award again as we began the year on a high note by winning the best group award at the Zimas.

“I can feel that we’ll cap off the year in style too,” said The Dot.

Crisswiss who was optimistic as well said they are working on an album with a string of singles set to be released this month.

“We’re gearing up for the release of our sophomore album titled Suite 328: The Rainbow Towers. The songs include Landela featuring Lee McHoney and On Stage,” said Crisswiss.
