African Distillers Limited Zimbabwe has relaunched its premium Gold Blend Black whiskey, which has a stylish stunning new look.

Gold Blend Black whiskey is one of the distillers’ premium brands and with this new look, I must say they out did themselves.

The brand, of course, has been available for quite a while but wasn’t quite popular perhaps because of the packaging.

According to the company, Gold Blend Black was repackaged with a trendy and unique bottle to make it appealing.

They have indeed stepped up and the whiskey could become a much sought after bottle not just in Zimbabwe, but abroad.

On to the taste… well it’s a finely distilled scotch whiskey, what more do you need to know… its smooth and fine.

Afdis held a launch of the whiskey about a fortnight ago at The Place in Bulawayo, where each patron or guest was awarded a bottle.

Upon entry, everyone… Well those who are alcohol tolerant, were given a glass with a snifter of the whiskey mixed with lime juice. The taste was sublime, it was somewhat of a new cocktail.

“We left nothing on the table in terms of quality. Our packaging is top class, we do not take our consumers for granted; they understand class. We really are walking the talk when it comes to whiskey in Zimbabwe,” said Stanley Muchenje the managing director of the company.

Southern region manager Nhlonpeng Ncube said the recommended retail price is US$8, and the product is available IN all liquor stores and bars.

Ncube said the brand was setting the pace in terms of whiskey production in the country.

“This is but one of many projects we are working on as a company, we will soon or rather have begun a cider fermentation plant, which will see us producing and distributing more. We are also working with local farmers as we seek to revive and introduce grape farming for winery,” said Ncube.
