DYNAMOS were held yet to another draw at Maglas yesterday in a Castle Lager Premiership soccer match in which both sides could have gone home with maximum points had it not been for the brilliant show of goalkeepers Roy Mazingi and Washington Arubi.

After the match the DeMbare coach Lloyd Mutasa appealed to the legion of blue and white fans to be patient.
“I am asking the fans to be patient. The only players that form the core of Dynamos team are Washington (Arubi), Desmond (Maringwa) and George (Magariro) who are playing regularly.

“The whole lot is part of the newly assembled squad and they still need to jell. I am appealing to the fans to be patient and rally behind the team.
“We have not reached the halfway mark but I am positive that results will come as long as the fans rally behind these youngsters. I am very confident that results will start flowing soon,” said Mutasa after the match.

Shabanie could have drawn first blood in the 13th minute through Michael Mageja when he was fed by Junius Chizororo in the box but his effort went wide.
They were back on the attack when a free-kick that was taken deep inside the visitors half was well saved by Arubi 30 minutes of play.
Caleb Masocha, who was full of running the whole afternoon, then broke loose on the right and dribbled past Gift Bello before unleashing a grounder that found Arubi at the right position to bring the ball to safety amid cheers from the DeMbare fans in the 34th minute

After this attempt Dynamos were in control of the proceedings. Veteran Murape Murape dribbled past Shabanie defender Jonathan Chitereki and spotted the on-rushing Patrick Khumbula inside the box and the latter reacted with a superb shot but Mazingi did well to save the effort that left the Dynamos player shaking his head in disbelief in the 36th minute.

Dynamos had another fine effort in the 44th minute from Gift Bello dealt with by Mazingi when fans were already on the edge of their seats anticipating a goal.
The second half saw the visitors firing from all cylinders and Tawanda Muparati come face-to-face with Mazingi but he blasted his effort wide.

Dynamos played well in all departments but they failed to put the ball in the net.

Shabanie substitute Rowan Nenzou could have had his name on the scoresheet when, in one of the miners’ finer moves, he unleashed a shot from the left. Arubi spilled the ball but there was no maroon shirt to finish off his effort in the 69th minute. Dynamos’ best chance came in the 78th minute when Rodrick Mutumwa won the ball inside the box and with Mazingi on the wrong side of the action, he unleashed a shot only to see his effort blocked by defender Boniface Dimanji.

It was the last attempt for Dynamos and they left their technical bench wondering on what to do.
After the match the Shabanie coach Aronld Jani was satisfied with the result.

“I am happy with the result. We created chances but failed to utilise them,” he said.
