X FACTOR reject Gamu Nhengu is to be deported back to Zimbabwe as soon as possible.
Gamu, now living illegally in Britain along with her family, is to be deported to Zimbabwe after the family lost a final appeal to the British authorities. The 19-year-old Zimbabwean teenager, who has since been signed by Fiddy a.k.a. 50 Cent, tried desperately to strengthen her case to remain in the UK by claiming that her life was in danger.
She incredibly claimed that a firing squad would be waiting for her if she were to be deported from the UK.
Yet since arriving in Britain as a young girl, she has made several visits to Zimbabwe, with the most recent trip being, “just a couple of years ago”.
Her weird claim was thrown out by the UK Home Office, who did not understand her fears of persecution in a country she visited frequently.
Nhengu lost her appeal and must quit Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire, after Border Agency chiefs ruled it is safe for her to return. She is currently on tour singing in UK nightclubs.
A Home Office source said: “We are doing everything we can to remove her and her family who are here illegally.
“They will be deported at some point.”
Gamu, whose family moved to the UK eight years ago, sparked a national uproar when she was kicked off X Factor by judge Cheryl Cole. The visa of her mother, Nokutula, expired last year and their application to remain was rejected after it emerged she had claimed £16 000 in working tax credits for Gamu and her brothers Milton (12) and Marty (10).
If anything, the latest development could put an end to her short flirtatious relationship with 50 Cent. – The Sun/Entertainment Reporter.
