FORMER Highlanders and Railstars utility player Hloniphani Ndebele has put the disappointment of not landing a job at Bosso behind him and is eager to establish himself elsewhere. Ndebele blames ill health for his failure to be engaged by Bosso. “Obviously when I came from Swaziland, I wanted to be closer to my family. Naturally Bulawayo was my first port of call, I wanted to be with family.
“Things did not go well. I was sick the week I went for trials at Highlanders hence I did not make it. I was told by coach Kelvin Kaindu to look elsewhere.

I have no hard feelings, it happens in football and that could actually be a blessing in disguise for me,” said Ndebele.

The former Manzini Wanderers, Mbabane Highlanders and Malantsi Chiefs player said he had set himself on landing a job elsewhere and regaining full fitness.

“I am confident that I will be engaged by a Premier Soccer League club before the end of this week. I would like to give it my best and impress and ensure my new employers get value from my signature.

“I am more mature now and I have learnt so much from playing under so many coaches. I feel I have improved as a player and will adjust to the local game,” said Ndebele.

He could not disclose where he has been training.
Ndebele is however said to have impressed Chapungu.

“At the moment I cannot disclose anything but what I can assure my fans is that soon, very soon I could be taking to the field to complete unfinished business in local football,” said Ndebele.

He can play at rightback, he is a good marker and is dangerous on the offensive. He had been looked at as an option for the troubled rightback and anchorman’s slots at Highlanders.

He is confident on the ball and in Swaziland he was played as a playmaker, second striker and gunman.
“I will play whatever position coaches want me to play,” he said with a chuckle.

Having broken into Premiership football at the age of 19 in 2003, Ndebele believes he is now mature and at the peak of his career.
