HIGH flying Ajax Hotspurs extended their undefeated run in the Zifa Bulawayo Province Division Two League to 22 when they beat Zenzele Tigers 2-1 at Barbourfields Grounds on Saturday.

Goals from Tanaka Hove and Reason Moyo gave Hotspurs maximum points to remain at the top of the league table with 52 points from 15 wins and seven draws.

Hotspurs coach Nosilathi Nkomo said they want to finish the season undefeated.

“It was a great win, but the race is still on. We need to take each game as it comes and hope we continue with this form because we aim to finish the season without a loss,” said Nkomo.

The championship race is still wide open with seven games left.

Arenel Movers are in second place with 51 points, while Chicken Inn juniors are on 48 points.

There was hardly any change to the league table except for Zenzele Tigers and East Rovers who swapped places and now occupy 11th and 12th positions respectively.

East Rovers were hammered 5-0 by Arenel Movers, with Malcolm Moyo grabbing a brace and Tinashe Chirenje, Prince Ndlovu and Carlso Virindi scoring the rest.
