CAF Orange Confederation Cup bound How Mine FC will begin their preparations for the adventure on January 6.
The gold miners, who had a fairytale Premiership debut that saw them getting into the final of the country’s richest knockout tournament, the Mbada Diamonds Cup, are looking to make a mark in Africa.
How Mine were registered for the Caf Confederation Cup because Mbada Diamonds Cup winners Highlanders were banned from participating in continental competitions until 2015.

The Metallon Gold sponsored outfit will play host to  Chuoni FC of Zanzibar in the preliminary round first leg of the continental tournament  on February 8.

They would be travelling to the island for the second leg a week later.
“The team will start preparations for the Caf Confederation Cup on January 6, after the festive season,” said chairman Mlondolozi Nkomo.
Nkomo said they would make  a few changes to the squad.

“We are now on holiday, most of the things will be done when we start preparations, but I believe only a few changes will be made,” said the chairman.

How Mine will likely retain most of their experienced players like Gilbert Banda, Nyasha Mukumbi, goalkeeper Ephraim Mazarura, their outstanding player of the year Menard Mupera.

Among the wish list are Caps United trio of Tapiwa Khumbuyani, Tendai Samanja and Tawanda Nyamande.
Also in the list is Young Warriors Under-20 goalkeeper Donovan Bernard and Botswana-based Mandlenkosi Sibanda.
The clubs has until tomorrow to submit their final squad before the Caf deadline midnight same day.
