JAMAICAN dancehall star Busy Signal took the bus from Harare to Bulawayo on Thursday for his show in the city last night as a way to connect with the country.

The dancehall artiste who is in the country for the Fly Africa Southern African Music Arts Festival (SAMA Fest) said he felt the love from Zimbabweans when he did a tour of the high density areas in Harare earlier in the week and decided to spread more love by travelling by road.

Others were, however, of the opinion that he had chosen to travel by road because he is the face of Fly Africa, an airline that does not service the Harare-Bulawayo route leaving him with no option but to use a bus instead of the airline’s competitor – Air Zimbabwe.

Y2K manager Brian Hazangwi — festival promoters, said Busy Signal, who boarded a Bravo luxury coach had genuinely travelled by road to have an appreciation of a country he calls his second home.

“Busy Signal wanted to take the road because he wanted to see the country and he generally loves travelling. So this is why he took the bus from Harare to Bulawayo on Thursday. He got to Bulawayo in the evening,” said Hazangwi.

Busy Signal who will be travelling back to Harare today for another performance in the capital tonight had said he wanted to visit the Mighty Victoria Falls but unfortunately that wish will not be fulfilled again .

Hazangwi said the Free Up hit-maker had to shelve those plans because of time constraints.

“Last time Busy Signal was supposed to visit the Victoria Falls but couldn’t. This time unfortunately he can’t again because of a busy schedule.”
