VICTORIA Falls-based comedian Carl Joshua Ncube says he was one of the biggest procrastinators, but the will to change for the better got him through the day.

The comedian said this during Thokozani Nyoni’s ‘If I had . . .’ book launch in Bulawayo on Saturday.

‘If I had . . .’ is book that seeks to solve the procrastination puzzle.

Carl, the guest speaker, joined the event virtually from Victoria Falls.

“I was one of the biggest procrastinators in the world. My first encounter with procrastination was when I was in the UK when I practised as a nurse. I was in the Emergency Room and I used to hear patients saying, ‘I wish I had said I love you. I wish I had done this and that’ and that got me thinking. Procrastination is a problem and people should be wary of it if they are to be successful,” said the content creator.

Carl underscored the need for people, especially those in the showbiz industry to work on their craft on time and avoid procrastination.

Carl, who is also an author, said he has made it thanks to others and is more than willing to lend a helping to struggling and upcoming artistes.

He said: “I believe in support 100 percent. If I don’t have money, I will give my expertise, my name, my voice to a cause or to uplift young people that show  potential.

“I am only where I am today because of others that were put in my life to take me up the ladder.”

Hosted by Lelethi K, the launch also saw musician Hirev “the Rockstar” giving a stellar acoustic session with his silky voice, with Vincii “the poet” serenading the crowd with a great wordplay or an instrumental. – @eMKlass_49
