AN upcoming rapper from Pumula North, Thabo Lesley Khabo, last Friday dropped a single titled Dream Girl.

Khabo, also known as Leslie Tyrex, is an independent singer, rapper, beatmaker, songwriter and producer all rolled into one.

“Dream Girl is a song about love. Everyone has their ‘dream partner’ and in this song, I bring to light the qualities that I aspire to see in one whom my heart will long for,” explained the 19-year-old  rapper.

The song is the first of what is to become a custom for the remaining two months of the year.

“The idea is to record at least one track each month till the end of the year,” said  Tyrex.

The former Ihlathi High School student was inspired to be an artiste by the late Cal_vin, Takura and POY and was fortunate enough to perform alongside Dat Luveve  Boy.

Other notable acts that the rapper has shared the stage with are Novuyo Seagirl, rap duo Killemol, Tebza and Zhezhingtons to name a few.

One of his singles, Swag City has made huge strides for him as it has been played on international radio stations.

The Northside Records stable founder has also had his song Pump it up being played on Jamaica’s Zanj Radio. —   @eMKlass_49
