Mahachi’s France experience begins

Warriors winger and on-loan Mamelodi Sundowns player Kudakwashe Mahachi on Monday attended his first training session with French giants AS Monaco.A 26-member squad went through their paces under the watchful eye of head coach Leonardo Jardim who first met the players individually before getting down to business.

Mahachi who had been loaned to Highlanders by Mamelodi Sundowns, trained alongside great players like Colombian Radamel Falcao and former Manchester United hitman Dimitar Berbatov, a Bulgarian.  Former Barcelona and France left back, Eric Abidal and ex-Real Madrid and Portugal international, Ricardo Carvalho also went through their paces.

Mahachi will be in France for a three-week period during which the team will go for a training camp in Klagenfurt, Austria.  The whole squad will go for medical examinations on Friday.

From July 16-25, Monaco will take part in the CopaEuro Americana tournament with the pencil slim dribbling wizard expected to be part of the squad.

After the World Cup, underway in Brazil, the rest of the players will join the team as preparations for the forthcoming season intensify.
