Muzadzi joins Real Betis Academy Zimbabwe Gift Muzadzi being welcomed by Gerald Sibanda

REAL Betis Academy Zimbabwe have brought into their technical team former Dynamos and national team goalkeeper Gift “Umbro” Muzadzi.

Yesterday, Betis Academy Zimbabwe officially announced that Muzadzi was now part of their coaching structures specifically in charge of goalkeepers in the senior’s age groups as they aim to churn out exceptionally talented players using the Spanish football club’s approach to the game.

“It’s official Gift ‘Umbro’ Muzadzi is green and white. One of Zimbabwe’s finest goalkeepers and coaches Gift Muzadzi has joined our technical team in our aim to produce world class talent from our campus through the Real Betis methodology of football. We are delighted to have his experience in both his playing and coaching career,” said the academy.

In terms of the update provided by the Betis Academy, Zimbabwe campus team has Naison Muchekela in charge of the Under-19 as well as the Under-12, the Under-17s are under the care of Zetie Sibanda, Tichaona Diya looks after the Under-15s.
In Bulawayo, Johannes Ngodzo, Gift Lunga (junior) and Zenzo Moyo are spearheading the Betis Academy Zimbabwe project.

Gerald Sibanda, the Betis Academy Zimbabwe chairman is excited about what the future holds. Sibanda stated that they are seeking support from the corporate world while strengthening their coaching department with more camps all over the country and conducting coaching clinics in the rural areas.

“We are expanding, we have made huge progress, our growth is inevitable, trip to Spain was important to shape our vision of bringing excellency to our people.

“Now the aim is to go another level higher, receive more corporate support, beef up the technical team, bring in more coaches for our nationwide camps, create scholarships, conduct clinics in the rural areas and bring more inclusivity and integration to our societies through football development,’’ said Sibanda.
Betis Academy Zimbabwe on January 22 announced that head coach, Murape Murape, had left for Dynamos.
