STATE-owned telecommunication company, NetOne has introduced a $3 OneFusion package and is set to review its social media data tariffs downwards by 6.7 percent to $2.80.

The $3 OneFusion package bundle comes with one hour OnNet, 10 minutes Off Net, 250MB Generic Data, 250MB WhatsApp bundles, 250MB Facebook bundle and 10 SMSs.

The company’s chief operating officer Mr Clever Isaya said they decided to come up with this economic OneFusion product as a way to ensure all subscribers enjoy the service.

He told Business Chronicle that they also wanted to give customers the much-needed control over their communications budget.

“As you are aware, a significant number of subscribers have moved onto our network mainly because of this OneFusion product. We have also noted that there are some who would have wanted to be on OneFusion but were failing, as they could not come up with the required amount for the entry OneFusion level which is $5.

“We then decided to come up with this affordable $3 OneFusion package to ensure that all our subscribers will have a chance of enjoying this great product,” he said.

Mr Isaya said their customers remained with an option of migrating between the various OneFusion packages thus giving them the much-needed control over their communications budget.

He also said they have been continuously upgrading their network, with most of their sites now on 3G and 4G to ensure their subscribers get the best service all the time.

Early this month, NetOne rebranded its OneWallet platform to OneMoney, which can be linked to any ZimSwitch-linked debit card.
