AWARD-winning Hip Hop muso POY’s song Bahle has been receiving heavy rotation on radio stations.

Because of this, the artiste has decided to officially launch the single that was released last week with a party in Bulawayo where he will celebrate its success with fans. The summer song will be launched at Zansibar on Saturday with fellow musicians Guluva Se7en, Six Oh and dancers Whinequins set to join POY on stage.

POY said the song that is a fusion of Kwaito and Hip Hop was produced by Rayo Beats.

“Bahle is a feel good, festive season summer anthem which is rocking the airwaves on ZiFM Stereo, Star FM, Breeze FM, Skyz Metro and Khulumani FM.

“With this song that celebrates the beauty of women in Bulawayo, I deliberately diverted from the usual trap sound which has become the monotonous sound of modern day Hip Hop. We also created something that’ll make people feel good,” said POY.

He said the launch party was initiated by DJ Sweeto of Events Techniques who, after seeing the popularity of the track, insisted they host a party to celebrate this feat.

“Apart from the celebration organised by DJ Sweeto, we want to give people a chance to see a revitalised POY live performance. Also, we want to give other artistes exposure in the process.”

Those attending the event will be given free CDs of the single.

But before POY takes to the stage at Zansibar on Saturday, there will be an all-female affair with DJs Crazy D, Noma Dat Girl and Lolo on the decks tomorrow (Friday) evening.
