For those people who are prayerful and  who hear from God, you will understand that  in 2011 God was all about positioning people in their rightful places. I tell you I have seen many people finding church homes, finding places they can serve in their churches, finding ways to be of use to the world. The year has been wonderful and God has surely been positioning people this year.

In 2012, however, what God is going to be doing is that He will be opening new doors for people and there will be many opportunities for people to expand and grow their territory. I’m reminded of the time God spoke to the children of Israel in Exodus 34:24 saying that, “For I will cast out nations before you and enlarge your borders; no one shall covet your land, when you go up to appear before the LORD your God three times in the year.”
I’m telling you, that will be the story for Zimbabwe – God is taking us to a place where we never thought we could ever reach economically, politically and socially. Our influence will increase and our barns will be filled with all the good things we can ever think of.

Breaking new ground also reminds me of that scripture in Isaiah 43:19 which says “Behold I do a new thing…”
I am very convinced that in your life, individually God is doing a new thing. Some of us have messed up in the past year and God wants us to repent of our sins and clean up our mess and move on with Him in a newer and deeper dimension.

Many people are scared of taking bold  steps to change things in their lives. They are afraid of getting rid of old habits, bad relationships and many other things they have built a mould around. But for us to begin this new walk there is need for you to make a decision to take steps towards that new lifestyle and boldness would be key.
Being bold is not really the absence of fear. It is actually that drive that pushes you to face your challenges head-on. It is not easy waking up one morning and saying that you will stop taking drugs or you will stop fornicating but all of this will result from a single decision. Decide to have a new start this 2012.

For some people, breaking new ground is essentially simply re-aligning their passion and commitment to the things of God. As a minister of God, one of the saddest realities that I have observed and come across in 2011 is that there are many people, old and young alike, that we have lost to the enemy. I have personally encountered a whole bunch of brothers and sisters who used to be on fire for the things of God but somewhere, somehow they lost their passion and they began pursuing the very things that they know they are not supposed to pursue.

Many of the people that I know who are in this category are actually very dangerous to themselves. Because they are so in tune with the Word of God, they have been through it countless times and they have also possibly taught from it at whatever level, they can actually question its authority and are very carefree in their attitude. If you are like that I think today is the day for you to make a decision to embrace the grace of a new life in the Lord.

Ezekiel 36:26 stresses that, “And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”
For other people, breaking new ground means dealing with matters of the heart. There are Christians out there whose hearts are so messed up – they are so heavily infected with evil     appetites and evil passions and the Lord is promising His people new hearts. We need to talk of a change in our minds, in our understanding  and in our judgment. We ought to make sure that all these major entities of our lives are in tune with the Word of God so that His glory shines on us.

All this can be done and I am very confident.  All that God is really calling us to as we start this new year is to find out that there is more He has promised than what we have known of Him. One of the most dangerous positions any Christian might fall for is this general contentment with how much you have seen of God. Many people who fail to get all of God would have simply settled for how much of Himself He has shown to them already. There is however more of Him than you can imagine that exceeds all that we can ask or think.

So, what are you going to change this New Year? It is really more than an issue of writing things down, it is more an issue of deciding what you are going to work on.
Let’s talk online.

If Christ be anything, let Him be everything.
Have a prosperous 2012
