HIGHLANDERS are adamant that they will not be taking any offers for defender Peter Muduhwa who has caught the interest of several local clubs among them Dynamos.

The defender allegedly has a running contract with the club and Bosso say they will not be losing their vice-captain.

“Peter has a running contract and is very much still an employee of Highlanders. He will remain our player after the transfer window,” said Bosso communications officer Nozibelo Maphosa.

She was coy with details regarding the length of the player’s contract.

Sources close to the player however, say the player is entertaining the idea of leaving as they have failed to meet some of the contractual financial obligations.

“Yes, he has a running contract but right now he doesn’t mind cancellation of everything he is owed by  the club to force a move away from the club,” said a  source.

Ngezi Platinum are the other side which wants Muduhwa from Highlanders.

Just like Dynamos, Ngezi Platinum will be playing continental football next year.

The club already has lost Muduhwa’s central defence partner Mbongeni Ndlovu while defensive midfielder Brighton Mhanhire will also not be part of the black and white army with strong indications that he has also signed for FC Platinum.

If Muduhwa joins Dynamos, he will be part of the list that includes Silas Ndlovu, Makwinji Soma-Phiri, Lovemore Ncube, Masimba Mambare, Colsen Mabeza, Rodreck Mutuma, Stewart Murisa, Lenny Gwata, Cuthbert Malajila, Washington Arubi, Tinashe Makanda, King Nadolo and Bhekimpilo Ncube who have played for both Dynamos and Highlanders showing that sport is universal and unites communities.

Soccer Star of the Year finalist Andrew Mbeba, Andrew Tandi, Ray Lunga, Rahman Kutsanzira and Manhire are among the list of players who have their contracts running out at the end of this month. The players have been kept guessing as there has been no communication from the club.

There is also no news on Calvin Chigonero and Elshamar Farasi who were on loan at the club last season.  — @innocentskizoe
