REPORTS from the Kingdom of ESwathini (Swaziland) suggest that Star Brite finalist X-Mile was hijacked at knifepoint after a show in that country where he was robbed of goods and money worth nearly R20 000.

According to the Swazi Observer, X-Mile was robbed with a Swathi comedian Mdura at a place called Mahwalala after the MTN Rhymes and laughter show on October 28. The event, a fusion of high-end Swazi Comedy and Hip Hop featured guest appearances from outside Swaziland.

X-Mile who is based in South Africa said he was robbed of a mobile phone – a Huawei P10 worth 13 000 Elangeni (R13 000) while Mdura was robbed of 4 500 Elangeni (R4 500).

X-Mile said although he was shaken by the robbery, he was grateful that he escaped unhurt.

“I was hijacked in Swaziland after such a great show. Thank God we’re still alive,” X-Mile posted on his Facebook page.
Speaking to the Swazi observer detailing what transpired, Mdura’s manager Larry Mhlanga who was driving the car, a blue VW Polo 2005 model said the incident happened at around 11PM.

“It was so dark and as I was driving, a car pulled up and blocked the road so I had to stop. There were four, if not five men who came straight to our car and started banging it, telling us to get off.

“They started searching the car and demanded that we give them whatever we had,” said Mhlanga.

He said it all happened fast.

“They took the cellphones and the money we had. At some point they took out a knife and pointed it at X-Mile but luckily, no one was hurt in the process as we managed to escape without any injuries.”

Mhlanga said they were traumatised by the whole ordeal but they are fine after having reported the case to the police.
