THE Zifa Northern Region trio of chairman Willard Manyengavana and board members Sweeney Mushonga and Martin Kweza will have an opportunity to build their administrative capacities when they take part in one of global football’s biggest networking forums – the Soccerex Global Convention in Manchester, England.

The trio left the country on Monday will have a life-time opportunity to interact, network and explore sponsorship avenues for the domestic game and their Division One League, in particular.

The convention started yesterday.

Manyengavana and his leadership have been struggling to have a title sponsor for their league since parting ways with Japanese company World Navi.

The convention has over the years received global acclaim for its capacity to mix the social aspects and business aspects of football.

Soccerex has been bringing together the global football industry to network in a unique environment for over 20 years.

A brochure from the organisers of the expo reads:

“…. from hosting industry leading networking events across the globe to our market insight campaigns, they provide a platform to connect your business with the game’s key stakeholders’’.

According to the programme, the administrators will have an opportunity to dwell on several aspects of the game which include transfers, coaching pathways, nurturing the next generation, maintaining football brands and sportspersons diets.

The convention is also looking forward to bringing football and its stakeholders together and give them an opportunity to network.

“Over the next 12 months, we’re hosting numerous events across the globe delivering proven networking, insight and business opportunities to the global football industry.

“The Soccerex Global Convention, the world’s biggest and most renowned football business event, will be supported this year by regional events in Qatar and also the Soccerex Football Festival.

“In 2018, Soccerex will for the first time host an event in China, bringing two decades of experience to the most exciting football market in the world,” the organisers said.
