Call for Mutinhiri to step down

collaborators and the youths on Saturday gathered at Cde Mutinhiri’s farm in Marondera.

In an interview last night, Zanu-PF provincial secretary for security for Mashonaland East Cde Lawrence Katsiru said the District Co-ordinating Committee would make a formal request to the party leadership for Cde Mutinhiri to relinquish her post.

“People in her constituency have more than 12 complaints against her. They are saying she should leave the post of being their MP and we are meeting as the provincial leadership tomorrow (today) to make a formal request in that regard.

“They are saying she is working more with the MDC-T than the party that voted for her.
“They are also accusing her of failing to represent them anymore because she has banned Zanu-PF slogans during meetings.

“She has also refused to work with Zanu-PF people in the distribution of Constituency Development Fund. People are now wondering if she still belongs to Zanu-PF because she is not representing the party anymore,” Cde Katsiru said.

He said Cde Mutinhiri had also accused State Security Minister Sydney Sekeramayi and her ex-husband of wanting to murder her.
