VP Kembo Mohadi

Matabeleland South Provincial Affairs Minister, Cde Abednico Ncube has urged the people from across the country to turn up in their numbers in Gwanda tomorrow to celebrate the appointment of Vice President Kembo Mohadi.

Zanu-PF has organised a party for V P Mohadi that will be held at Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Polytechnic, following his recent appointment.

In an interview after a preparatory meeting held yesterday, Cde Ncube said the VP is one of the leaders dedicated to Zimbabwe.

“Cde Mohadi is one of the leaders who showed dedication and put their lives at risk in order to liberate this country. His commitment towards developing the nation dates back to the days of liberation struggle. After that he has served diligently not only in the party but throughout the entire country to ensure that the liberation that we attained is preserved.

“That is why we saw it fit to organise this event in order to honour him. Therefore, I call on every citizen regardless of race, tribe, political party and religion to turn up at Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Polytechnic for this celebration. As citizens we should celebrate and honour our leaders as a sign of appreciation for what they have done for the nation,” he said.

Cde Ncube said it was a huge honour for the province to have VP Mohadi appointed as Vice President as he hailed from Beitbridge district.

“As a province we would like to thank His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangangwa for appointing one of us as a Vice President. It shows that this province is being recognised,” he said.

Meanwhile, Zanu-PF Matabeleland South provincial chairman, Cde Rabelani Choeni said all was set for the celebrations.

He said the celebrations were an important national event organised by the Zanu-PF Matabeleland South Province.

Cde Choeni said a lot of entertainment was lined up for the event and there was adequate food for everyone. @DubeMatutu.
