A MARRIED teacher at Tennyson Hlabangana High School has been suspended after he was caught kissing a Form One pupil at the school.

The accounts teacher, Gilbert Zuze, was suspended on Thursday last week.

School sources said Zuze was on duty when some pupils pounced on him kissing a pupil.

“Zuze was on night duty monitoring pupils doing evening studies when some pupils pounced on him kissing a Form One pupil in the darkness. A report was made to the school authorities leading to his suspension,” said the source.

It is alleged that Zuze who stays with his wife at the school, is in the habit of dating pupils.

“This is an embarrassing incident considering that his wife is also a teacher who has a baby who is less than a year old,” said the source.

The school head Cleophas Buhwa refused to comment.

“I don’t talk to the Press,” he said.

Bulawayo Provincial Education Director Dan Moyo said he was yet to get a report on the case. “I haven’t received that report yet,” said Moyo.
