groceries and cash in Guruve since January this year.
The eleventh accused will appear in court this week for trial on charges of unlawful entry.
The 10 burglars pleaded guilty to four counts of unlawful entry when they appeared before magistrate Augustine Murerwe.
Mr Murerwe sentenced each of the burglars to seven years imprisonment for four counts out of the 21 counts of unlawful entry they are being charged with.
According to police records the Guruve-based syndicate was made up of friends and relatives.
The syndicate would group themselves in-groups of three before pouncing on their victims and would later stash their loot underground in nearby bushes in the Mudhindo area, police said.
The burglars would then sell the stolen property to other people in towns as far as Chinhoyi and Karoi.
Acting Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Petros Masikati confirmed arresting the gang.
He said they had managed to clear a backlog of burglary cases in the province since January 1 this year.
“Our Guruve investigations unit went on a two-day surveillance mission following a tip off that there was a gang of burglars made up of brothers and friends who were breaking into houses and were living large at Guruve centre.
“On May 7 they nabbed Taurai Bepura (33), Edwin Dandajena (30), Musoni Makozhombwe (30) and Calvin Kaasika (25) after they went to Muzura Primary School in the middle of the night and broke into an office and stole books, a jacket and US$140.
“An hour later the gang used the same technique of using screw drivers to break through doors and got into Muzura store and got away with an Omega hi-fi, a solar panel inverter, US$240 and groceries worth US$410,” said Assistant Inspector Masi- kati.
He added: “After the arrest our unit interrogated the four, who later revealed their other partners and we netted the whole syndicate.”
Shame Chigede (31), Promise Chigede (age not given), Godwin Dandajena (31), Togarasei Kanengoni (31), Takawira Kanengoni (32), Ronald Chidavaenzi (27) and Tichaona Chibondo were nabbed the following night.
Police said the eight admitted that they were the ones who had been breaking into houses and shops since the beginning of the year.
The gang, according to the police, also confessed that they were responsible for breaking into a house and stole four bags of fertiliser, groceries and US$140.
A bag of fertiliser has since been recovered after they were arrested.
Police also managed to recover two carts, a generator, 9 beasts and building material from the gang.
Police said the total value of stolen goods was US$14 558 and they had only recovered US$ 1 1950 worth of property.
The gang is reportedly responsible for breaking into more than five business centres in the Guruve area.
Assistant Inspector Masikati said investigations were still underway to establish if the syndicate was only operating in Guruve.
