CHICKEN Inn Football Club will introduce six new faces to their senior squad this season.

Club secretary-general Tawengwa Hara said the club would be dropping some of their old horses for six new players from their juniors.

“We’ll be introducing some six new faces from our junior policy,” said Hara.

Hara said the six players expected to join the senior team are Amos Ncube, Musa Phiri, Godknows Mnkandla, Tambudzayi Ngulube, Thulani Nxusani and Brighton Manhire who was on loan at Zifa Bulawayo Province Division One side Nust for the 2014 season.

He said with the six joining the first team it was more than likely that there would be some players that will be left in the cold before the Castle Lager 2015 season begins.

“We’ve been grooming these youngsters and if the coach thinks that they’re ready to play in the first team I’m sure there’s no reason to keep some older players who no longer yield the expected results,” he said.

Hara said the club would also part ways with some of the players who were on loan from other teams.

“We’re releasing Ramson Zhuwawo, fringe goalkeeper Bhekimpilo Ncube, Patrick Majuta loaned to Plumtree Chiefs and Dereck Chisume on loan at Trumus,” he said.

Hara said they retained most of their players and are happy with their squad.

“We’ll be continuing with most of our squad players, we hope our young players will blend well and produce results,” he said.

Hara declared that Danny “Deco” Phiri would be staying at the club. He said the player had a three-year contract with his side.

“Deco is our player, he signed a three-year contract with us and I’m sure that he’ll be with us this season,” he said.

Chicken Inn ended the season on position six last year with 44 points, just a point behind Bulawayo neighbours Highlanders.
