UNIVERSITY of Pretoria defender Partson Jaure says he misses his former coach Steve Barker who is now at AmaZulu FC. Jaure says Barker played a vital role in bringing him to South Africa.

The former Dynamos defender said he would miss the good training sessions which were conducted by his former coach.

AmaTuks play AmaZulu tonight in Durban, a match that has been dubbed a ‘teacher versus his students’ clash as Barker faces his former assistants, Sammy Troughton and Sly Mosala.

“We did well in our past two league games. We won 3-2 against Moroka Swallows which was Barker’s last match with us and I’m thrilled that I scored the winning goal which was my first in the Absa Premiership and drew 0-0 with Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.

“Our two coaches are doing well and as players we’re responding to their tactics which is positive for the team as we need as many points as possible to move away from the relegation zone,” said the former Dynamos defender.

The Warriors player said they are not going to respect their former coach when they meet as they will be now big rivals on the pitch but good friends outside the pitch.

He believes Troughton and Mosala are capable of taking the team to greater heights.

AmaTuks will be in KwaZulu Natal for the whole week as they will clash with Terrence Mandaza and Khumbulani Banda’s Maritzburg United in a league match.

Jaure and his teammates will be back in Pretoria on Sunday.
