LONG–serving Gweru magistrate courts prosecutor Mr Freddy Kadodo has died.

He was 60.

Mr Kadodo died on Monday evening at Clay Bank Hospital in Gweru where he had been admitted following a long battle with diabetes.

Family spokesperson and daughter to Mr Kadodo, Ms Alice Kadodo said her family is saddened by the untimely death.

She described Mr Kadodo as a loving and hardworking father.

“As a family we are still shocked by his untimely death. He was such a loving and a caring father to us and everyone else around him at home and at his workplace,” she said.

Gweru Area prosecutor, Mr Samuel Pedzisai said he worked well with Mr Kadodo until his death.

He said the profession had been robbed of a hardworking, dedicated and selfless figure.

“He was a unifier and a forgiving person. He was in good books with everyone and he maintained good relations even with other people.

“I am saddened by such great loss and it’s difficult to accept that he is no more. The loss is greatly felt,” he said.

Mr Kadodo joined the National Prosecuting Authority in 1997 as a prosecutor and was based at the Gweru magistrate courts until the time of his death.
