Man found murdered in Emganwini

BULAWAYO police are investigating a murder of an unknown man who was found with bruises on his body in Emganwini suburb yesterday morning.

The deceased appeared to have been scratched with fingernails on the pelvic area and is suspected to be aged between 50 and 55.

He was found lying on the side of the road, facing upwards and half-dressed by a man who was driving his child to school.

Bulawayo police spokesperson, Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the murder.

“The now deceased was wearing brown trousers, black and navy-blue shorts, black unbuckled belt, grey under-wear and was not putting anything on top. The inside clothes were wet and he was bare footed. He was bleeding from a cut above the right eye,” said Insp Ncube.

He said the body of the deceased was ferried to the United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) for post mortem.

Insp Ncube urged members of the public who have a missing relative to come up and identify the body of the deceased. “We also appeal to members of the public with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect to visit any police station. People should also always move around with a form of identification,” he said. – @ReeSibanda.
