Master KG spent over R1m on music video

Master KG recently revealed the figures behind his Shine Your Light music video featuring David Guetta and Akon.

Taking to Twitter Master KG said that the total cost to make the music video, shot in the Dominican Republic, was R1,1m (approximately US$65 000).

“This year I shot my first most crazy expensive video Shine Your Light, which cost R1,1m. Never thought it would happen because I’m used to R50k videos, but I’m happy,” he wrote.

“It was shot in the Dominican Republic. The flights From SA to the accommodation and the production team in those countries are freaking expensive and other things.”

Master KG has been making money moves since his hit single Jerusalema featuring Nomcebo became a global hit and he is sharing his success with his fans. He recently sent R1 000 to some of his fans on social media and had to clear the air about his bank balance.

“Lol. Guys me giving out money doesn’t really mean I have a lot of money. My bank balance might be on the same level as some of you guys. It’s just that I don’t really mind sending my last R15k or whatever that I have to people just to see the smile on their faces,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, congratulations are in order for one of Limpopo’s finest artistes, Makhadzi, after she announced that she has finally bought a home for herself, but only after seeing to it that her family members also have nice homes. Three to be exact!

Taking to Twitter with an inspirational post, the star can be seen in a snap sitting on top of counters in her new home and overjoyed by her latest achievement.

Makhadzi shared her joy about officially being a homeowner at age 25.

“The first time I entered my house I took this picture. My dream came true and I am proud of myself,” she wrote.

The Kokovha hit-maker revealed her home was the fourth.

“I built my grandmother a house. Just because my mum and father separated I decided not to choose, but to build them two different houses. Now I bought my own house!” said Makhadzi.

“My dream was to see my parents and my grandmother living a better life. I didn’t care about wearing expensive clothes, but to make sure all my family have a place to sleep and God chose me to make a difference. When you pray and work hard everything is possible,” said Makhadzi. – TimesLive
