NTUTU Sparrows continued with their fine run in the Bulawayo Province Netball League when they beat Zimpost 48-21 on Saturday to consolidate their place at the top of the log standings. Precious Chirenje top scored with 24 points while Margret Mudimu weighed in with 14 points and Immaculate Mpofu 10.

Ntutu Sparrows now have 18 points from 6 games and seem unstoppable in their quest to gain promotion to the Zina Super League.

Team coach Precious Mudenge praised her girls for playing well by keeping the scoreboard ticking.

‘‘The girls played very well and I am pleased with the result considering that we are yet to lose a game in the league.

“I hope the girls will continue with this fine form throughout the season,’’ she said.

Defender Nothando Mathe was the most outstanding player for Ntutu Sparrows and she blocked several shots.

Meanwhile, Hwange Colliery Netball Club were shocked by Tenax 33-23 while ZPC Hwange got the better of Beta Holdings 41-17 in the Zimbabwe Netball Association Super League.

Two Bulawayo representatives Khami Prison and ZRP Bulawayo lost their games once again.

ZRP Bulawayo went down 25-29 to City Of Harare while Khami Prison were beaten 33-32 by Mutare Polytechnic.
