THE police have launched a manhunt for a former CIO operative who used to work under the First Lady, Auxillia Mnangagwa’s office for reportedly leaking state information.

The former operative, Sandra Nelia Chikeya, is wanted together with her twin sister, Lindah Chikeya with allegations being that they would take sensitive information which Sandra got as an operative under the First Lady’s office and leak it mainly to people aligned with the Zanu-PF G40 faction.

The two’s misdeeds were reportedly exposed by Lindah’s ex-husband, who reported them to the police.

Lindah is said to have relocated to South Africa but Sandra’s whereabouts are not known.

“Sandra and Lindah were stealing sensitive information which they leaked to the G40 faction this lead to Sandra being dismissed from operating at the First Lady’s office but she left with some information which she reportedly passed on to the G40 faction.

“Lindah was traced to South Africa but the police did not have any jurisdiction to arrest her, however she was questioned and she professed ignorance on her sister’s whereabouts. Their exploits as well as Lindah’s whereabouts where all exposed by her ex-husband,” said a police source.

However, sources close to the twin sisters revealed that all hell broke loose after Sandra’s falling out with the First Lady in last year where she was harassed upon suspicion that she worked with the G40 faction.

“All that Sandra did was to confide to her twin sister Lindah on how she was treated by the First Lady. The falling out is the one which then led to suspicion that she was leaking information to the G40 faction.

“Lindah’s ex-husband then used information he was told by her in confidence to gain favour within the ruling party, he is the one who reiterated that the two were leaking sensitive information to the G40 faction and also supplied state agents with Lindah’s location in South Africa where she was tortured with the agents demanding the whereabouts of her twin sister,” said the friend on condition of anonymity.

The friend revealed that Lindah had confided in them that she no longer felt safe as the state agents had shown that they can trace her from where ever she was.
