Police hunt man who killed brother over Liverpool, Manchester City soccer match

Police have appealed for information that may lead to the arrest of a man who killed his brother following an argument over a Liverpool versus Manchester City soccer match.

In a statement on X, police said Peter Nhike (24) killed Edmore Nhike (27) on 10 March at Nganunu Shopping Centre, Zhombe.

He has been on the run ever since.

 “Police in Kwekwe are appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of Peter Nhike (24) who is being sought in connection with a case of murder that occurred at Nganunu Shopping Centre, Zhombe on 11/03/24 in which his brother, Edmore Nhike (27) died. The suspect allegedly assaulted the victim using a wooden bench and a stone following a heated argument over a football match. Anyone with information to report at any nearest police station,” reads the statement.
