DESPITE being winless in four league games, Bulawayo giants, Highlanders, are confident of getting their cards right when they clash with Harare City at Barbourfields Stadium tomorrow with coach Madinda Ndlovu saying the underdog tag fits them well.

Harare City are on cloud nine having booked a place in the final of the lucrative Chibuku Super Cup where Highlanders and Caps United were their victims.

“It’s going to be an exciting game. It’s very simple, we are playing a team that is on cloud nine, you know they are in the final and you are the underdog. It’s going to be a very exciting game,” said Ndlovu.

He called on the supporters to forget about the Ascot result where Bosso got a 4-0 hiding at the hands of Chapungu.

“I know that the supporters, regardless of the insults they have thrown at me (they have previously beaten me and poured mealie meal all over me before) but they will still come to the stadium and cheer the boys on. I know they will be there on Sunday and singavuthela one or two shots egedini, iSoweto iyanyikinyeka,” said Ndlovu.

The legendary Ndlovu said he will continue giving opportunities to fringe players that have not had game time in an effort to see if they are ready and capable of being given contracts for the coming season.

He was quick to point out that a number of factors will be considered besides just talent when deciding if a player deserves to be in the squad or not.

“Discipline itself in whatever sense you can define is a very important aspect of a player. That simple thing like knowing that here there could be some club officials let me move away and be somewhere else, its discipline isn’t? I have spoken strongly against indiscipline and the players know that,” said Ndlovu.

With Highlanders signing prodigal son Prince Dube and Bukhosi Sibanda as well as almost confirmation that another talented player Nqobizitha Masuku will be signed, Bosso will have to loan out three players from the 25 registered.

Masuku has been training with the Bulawayo giants and Ndlovu told members of the media that he was impressed with the talent.

“It’s not a secret, he is an excellent player and its definitely about 95 percent that if we do agree and manage to turn the arms of the powers that be we might have him, it’s not a secret,” said Ndlovu.
