Wedding of the week

Wedding of . . . Bheki Dube, the first born son of the late Dennis Dube and Sibusisiwe Mpofu of Nswazi and Ntombie Senzeni Tshuma, the last born daughter of George M Tshuma and Ennie Ndlovu of Nkunzi, Tsholotsho.

Tied the knot on . . . August 7, 2022.

We chose . . . Nkunzi homestead for our wedding ceremony and reception because we have many relatives at home who were not going to be able to witness our big day because of accommodation and transport costs.

How did you meet?

We first linked up on social media where we were friends.

We used to chat a lot about life in general to the point when I was free to tell her about my private life and she would encourage me.

In 2020, I proposed to her and one year later, we made arrangements for lobola.

Did you face any challenges preparing for the wedding?

Our biggest challenge was the finances.

For the last three months of our wedding preparations, we pulled through without our salaries and through prayers and support from our families and friends, we made it.

Wedding colours . . . Navy Blue, gold and burgundy.

My wedding dress . . . was a princess wedding gown that was provided by Ideal Boutique.

The bridal team . . . was comprised of five bridesmaids and five groomsmen; Yoliswa Tshuma being the best girl and Nhlanhla Khumalo being the best man plus one mini bride.
The cake . . . was a five-tier cake fruit cake.
My favourite part of the wedding . . . was when we exchanged vows.
The most touching speech . . . was when he promised to love and support me in front of my parents.
Guest list . . . 500+
Photography was provided by . . . V&M Multimedia
MC: Mkhululi Ncube.

Entertainment was provided by . . . TXG
Budget: We better not say.

Honeymoon . . . we couldn’t go soon after the wedding due to other commitments.
