TITLE-chasing ZRP Hwange’s promotion ambitions received a huge jolt after they were outclassed and stunned by a fired up army side Moto Moto in a clash of uniformed forces teams at the Sports Pavilion at the weekend.
The policemen’s fine run of form in recent weeks crumbled in spectacular fashion as the soldiers produced the most amazing result of the action packed weekend.
Moto Moto reduced ZRP Hwange to an ordinary outfit through goals by Nomatter Mwembe, Nkonzani Nkomo and Desire Manyenge.

Victoria Falls Tigers jumped to third place after taking full advantage of ZRP Hwange’s bleep when they edged Prison Eagles 1-0 at home thanks to a solitary strike from Justin Tshuma.

On the same day, Never Munkuli’s Hwange Under-17 finally remembered how to win when they hammered whipping boys Brazil 3-0 at Old Stadium.
Brandon Phiri scored a brace with the other goal coming from Andrew Tandi.

The Makwika-based Brazil have been donating points from the first week of action having drawn once and lost 11 games despite their great history having been home to some of the best players to don the Hwange jersey.

Zambezi Lions and Ingagula played out a scoreless draw at Chinotimba Stadium.
On Sunday, league pacesetters Amagagasi weathered the pressure associated with local derbies when they edged Corinthians 1-0 in an explosive duel at Chinotimba Stadium.

Marshall Alvera scored the only goal of the match to leave the colourful Amagagasi outfit still perched at the apex with 34 points from 12 games.
Makomo FC, who have vowed to fight tooth and nail for the league title, continued breathing hot on Amagagasi’s necks with an important 2-0 victory over Kamandama Celtic.

Kainos Masocha and Shepherd Mwale scored the goals for the mining team.
Makomo trail the table toppers by only two points and both sides have not yet tasted defeat in the league.

Before the Amagagasi and Corinthians derby, Victoria Falls based Classic Luyando and Blackrock shared the spoils in an exciting four-goal thriller.
Lucky Ndlovu and Mordecai Moyo scored for Luyando while Blessing Njekwa and Dennias Mathe scored for the Hwange visitors who were founded by Johannes Mathe, one of the best talents to come out of Hwange in the 1980s.

Baobab Rovers redeemed themselves with a 1-0 victory over stubborn Fire FC.
Prosper Mathe scored the only goal for the power generators who had lost form in the past few games.

Iwisa walked over Broncos Africa who have been expelled from the league.
The Zifa Matabeleland North provincial chairperson Denis Tshuma confirmed the development.

“Yes, I can confirm that Broncos Africa are now out of the league as they failed to fulfil three consecutive league matches. All the points related to matches against this team will be removed hence the next log table will bear the changes. The team has been notified of this issue. They are free to make fresh submissions to return next year but for this season they are gone.” said Tshuma.

The once popular Rufaro Rovers FC also suffered the same fate two months ago and were replaced by Corinthians from Victoria Falls.
