Club 263, a vibrant nightclub in Bulawayo is set to open another branch in Mutare under the tag name Made in Bulawayo.

This will be the second branch opening of Club 263 outside the city, after it opened its doors in Harare in March this year.

On September 1, Club 263 will open its doors in Mutare and will be situated at the former Galibas Night Club in the CBD.

The nightspot’s director Biggie Chinoperekwei said they wanted to bring the Bulawayo nightlife vibe to the Eastern Highlands.

“Club 263 is a Bulawayo product that’ll be taken countrywide hence the tag name Made in Bulawayo. There are many people that are from Bulawayo and know how it feels to be in Club 263. So like we did in Harare we shall do the same in Mutare,” said Chinoperekwei.

“House music is not only loved in Bulawayo but also in other parts of the country.”

Chinoperekwei said the language of the night would be mainly isiNdebele since all waiters, waitresses, doormen, and DJs will be coming from Club 263 Bulawayo. In Harare popular Bulawayo socialite and comedian Babongile Sikhonjwa, singer-cum-dancer Sandra Ndebele and other Bulawayo artistes based in Harare were part of the launch.

For Mutare the same will be done, although Chinoperekwei could not give details of who was coming from the city.

“We want to do what we did for the Harare launch, but we are still finalising who’ll be there,” he said.

Club 263 opened in Bulawayo last year and has become one of the popular nightlife joints in the City of Kings.

Its movement to Mutare will be a good as many artistes and DJs from Bulawayo will have a chance to perform for audiences in the Manicaland capital.
