Miss Ecotourism and Miss Teen Ecotourism Zimbabwe 2023 is set to be crowned at the Zimbabwe Academy of Music in Bulawayo this Saturday.

On the night, two queens will be crowned, Miss Ecotourism and Miss Teen Ecotourism at a pageant that will be held under the theme:

“Preserving natural resources while promoting tourism”.

The two queens will then proceed to represent Zimbabwe in Durban, South Africa at the World Ecotourism competition slated for the end of the year.

Fifteen contestants from different parts of the country are expected to converge in Bulawayo on Thursday for boot camp.

Miss Teen Ecotourism Zimbabwe,  Amanda Peresu who is also Miss Teen Ecotourism World has diligently carried the title very well and kept her word at being a force that changes the outlook of ecotourism.

She was awarded the world crown last year in October in Durban where she toppled several other contestants.

Speaking ahead of the national finale, she said: “I feel super excited. I can’t wait to see our next queens as I believe I’ve run quite a race, made an impact and performed my duties exceedingly as Miss Teen Ecotourism Zimbabwe 2022. “Passing on the crown is like passing on the baton stick in a relay race. It makes me happy as I’ll continue to work with our 2023 queen, cheer her on, encourage and assist her in any way possible to do better and contribute positively to our communities even as she proceeds to represent the nation in the international finals for the World crown.” — @millieythandile
